Lisbon
From Oliva, getting to Lisbon is easy — it’s just about a 40-minute drive, perfect for a relaxed day trip to the Portuguese capital. Lisbon is a city full of history, culture, and charm, ideal for wandering through its traditional neighborhoods like Alfama, with its narrow streets and views over the Tagus River, or Bairro Alto, known for its bohemian atmosphere and lively nightlife.
Don’t miss landmarks such as the Belém Tower, the Jerónimos Monastery, or the Praça do Comércio, and be sure to enjoy a ride on the city’s iconic Tram 28. Lisbon also offers a truly unique gastronomy — from delicious pastéis de nata to fresh seafood served by the sea.

Sintra
From Oliva, getting to Sintra is quick and easy — the drive takes around 35 to 45 minutes, making it perfect for a half-day or full-day getaway. Sintra is a fairytale destination, famous for its palaces, gardens, and mystical forests, and is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Here, you can marvel at the iconic Pena Palace, wander through the tunnels and enchanting grounds of Quinta da Regaleira, visit the elegant National Palace of Sintra, or enjoy breathtaking views from the Moorish Castle. With its cobbled streets, traditional pastry shops, and romantic atmosphere, Sintra is truly an unforgettable experience.


Obidos
From Oliva, getting to Óbidos is easy and convenient — the drive takes around 45 to 55 minutes, perfect for a relaxed day trip or a half-day visit. Óbidos is a charming medieval village surrounded by beautifully preserved walls, where walking through its cobbled streets feels like stepping back in time.
You can explore its castle, enjoy panoramic views from the ramparts, browse small artisan shops, and taste the traditional ginjinha, served in a chocolate cup. With its romantic atmosphere, flower-filled windows, and historic architecture, Óbidos is a destination full of charm and authenticity.
Nazaré & Peniche
From Oliva, you can reach Nazaré and Peniche in about 50 to 60 minutes — perfect for a day out enjoying the true Atlantic spirit of Portugal.
Nazaré is world-famous for its giant waves, especially at the Forte de São Miguel Arcanjo, where elite surfers take on nature’s most powerful swells. Beyond the surf, you’ll find a beautiful beach, a lively seaside promenade, and a strong fishing tradition that’s still alive in every corner.
Peniche, on the other hand, is one of the country’s top surfing destinations and the gateway to the stunning Berlenga Island, a natural reserve with crystal-clear waters and breathtaking scenery.


Costa da Arrabida
From Oliva, the Arrábida Coast is about a 1 hour and 15 to 30 minute drive away — the perfect distance for a full-day trip to one of Portugal’s most stunning natural landscapes. This protected area blends lush green mountains, dramatic cliffs, and turquoise waters, creating a setting reminiscent of the purest Mediterranean beauty.
Among its highlights are Praia dos Galapinhos, once voted one of Europe’s most beautiful beaches, Portinho da Arrábida, and a number of quiet hidden coves that invite you to relax and unwind. Mafra
Getting to Mafra is quick and easy — just a 15 to 20-minute drive from Oliva, making it a perfect destination for a relaxed visit at any time of day. Mafra is best known for its magnificent National Palace of Mafra, a Baroque masterpiece and UNESCO World Heritage Site that includes a monumental basilica, a historic convent, and an extraordinary library considered one of the most beautiful in Europe.
Just a few minutes away, you’ll also find the Tapada Nacional de Mafra, a royal hunting park where deer, roe deer, and wild boar roam freely — a wonderful place for peaceful walks in nature.
